Always Grow. Grow ALL ways

What is it about the dawn of a new year that makes us so reflective and eager for change? New year, same habit of looking back before I decide what to chase next.
Nine years ago I made a career move that surprised a few people (including me). I stepped out of the fast-paced Canadian energy and oil & gas world and took a bet on bulk transportation at Trimac.
It turned out to be the right kind of bet. I’ve had a front-row seat as this iconic Canadian company voluntarily tore itself down to the studs so it could rebuild, evolve, and stay North America’s most respected bulk carrier. That kind of reinvention doesn’t happen by accident. It takes hard decisions, real sacrifice, and a lot of people choosing what’s right over what’s easy.
Over the past six years in Corporate Development and M&A, I’ve been lucky to play a role in Trimac’s growth, helping initiate, negotiate, 20+ acquisitions that shaped this run. The part that still amazes me is that we’ve more than doubled in size while staying family-owned and true to the culture that made Trimac worth building in the first place.
I’m proud of what we’ve built, and even more proud of how we’ve built it.
Heading into 2026, I feel equal parts grateful and restless. A smarter person would probably point out why I should be content. They’d be right. But I also believe what’s comfortable eventually becomes a ceiling. Change has a way of forcing growth, whether you’re ready for it or not.
For now, I’m all-in helping build OneTank Tank Leasing under the Trimac umbrella, turning our latest acquisition into something with real scale and staying power. And as I look to 2026 and beyond, I’m excited to keep building, keep learning, and stay open to whatever the next adventure looks like.
Wishing everyone a strong year ahead, and the luck and courage to chase whatever your next adventure is.
